When the president of the American Farm Bureau Federation was riding Spot, a quarter horse at Paddy Creek Cattle Company ranch in the Flint Hills, onlookers would have thought he was on a dream vacation.
For Zippy Duvall, a dairyman turned cattle rancher, seeing pastures without a lush canopy of leaves was a sight to behold. But for the National Farm Bureau president, meeting Kevin Gant, the rancher who owned those cattle, hit the bullseye.
Duvall shared three meals with volunteers and staff members of the Kansas Farm Bureau, treating everyone to a smile, or a listening ear and much wisdom about the current situation of agriculture in the U.S.

Overnight, the Gold Coast father took to Facebook to defend himself over the incident. I haven t put a hand on her, he wrote in a thread on the QPS Facebook page that named him as the alleged fugitive. Lutgenau s comments come despite police pleading with the alleged gunman to give himself up, as they call for calm.
