A book 'This is how we disappear' released in Kohima

Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 25 (EMN): A book titled “This is how we disappear,” written by Dr. Emisenla Jamir, was released by Mmhonlumo Kikon, advisor of New and Renewable Energy Resources, IT&C, Science and Technology, on Tuesday at Kohima College Kohima (KCK). Speaking at the book launch event, Kikon encouraged the Naga writers and poets to promote literature and also promote reading culture. He remarked works of Emisenla as ‘seamless with comfort, easiness and familiarity of the language.’ Kikon also elaborated on the importance of books through literature and written forms, which contributed towards building a society. He also appreciated the Penthrill Publication House for being the voice of the rural people in publishing the works of writers. Dr. Emisenla Jamir had previously released a poetry book titled ‘Loneliness is an Orange.’ She is an assistant professor at Kohima College Kohima. A book 'Where the Cobbled Path Leads' released in Kohima

Our Correspondent Kohima, Aug. 5 (EMN): A book ‘Where the Cobbled Path Leads’ by Avinuo Kire and published by the Penguin Publication was released by vice principal, Kohima College Kohima, Keneilesa Neikha, on Friday. Kire who currently teaches English at Kohima College Kohima, has authored several books including ‘The power to forgive and other stories’ and ‘The last light of glory days and other stories.’ At the launching event, general manager of Penguin Random House, Peter Modoli observed that Avinuo Kire travels from “one reality to the other in a bold and thrilling debut” which offers insight into contemporary Naga society. “Where the Cobbled Path Leads’ is as much a portrait of our own worlds as it is a stunning work of fantasy fiction”, he said.
