With Kerala polls due in April, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be wooing Christians in the state. According to a 2011 census, Hindus formed 54.77 percent of the population of India s Kerala state while Muslims and Christians constituted 26.5 percent and 18.3 percent respectively.
As India’s federally ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tries to win the southern state of Kerala, it seems to be developing cordial relations with people from the Christian community.
