Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee will take oath as Bengal chief minister for the third on May 5, said senior leaders of the party. The oath-taking ceremony, however, will be low-key affair owing to the unprecedented rise in Covid case.
Mamata Banerjee was unanimously elected as the leader of Trinamool s legislative council at a party meeting on Monday. It was announced at a press conference by Partho Chattopadhyay and Subrata Mukherjee.
While other members of the party will take oath on May 6, Biman Banerjee has been selected as the speaker of the assembly. ....
