On Friday The Morning Bulletin informed Ms Lauga that it had received an email from someone claiming to be her. The email author proceeded to outline details of Ms Laugaâs private life which the MP said were untrue. âI learned this morning that someone has set up a fake Gmail address impersonating me and contacting media outlets with lies about my apparent love life,â Ms Lauga wrote on Twitter. âSeriously, whoever you are . get a life.â ....

Ms Lauga said the Queensland Government designated the month of May as Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month to send a clear message that domestic and family violence in families and homes would not be tolerated. She said events were being held by community organisations, including schools, to raise awareness of domestic and family violence. “I’m proud to be marching with more than 800 St. Brendan’s College students and staff to a beachside rally to raise awareness against domestic and family violence,” she said. ....
Premium Content Subscriber only Byfield National Park will be more resilient to future bushfires after receiving a $495,000 boost, as part of $10.7 million in bushfire recovery projects announced Friday by the Australian and Queensland governments. In 2019, the Cobraball bushfire burnt across the Capricorn Coast, engulfing 12,100 hectares of land including 15 homes, 38 sheds, 8,500 hectares of grazing land and 275 hectares of horticultural production land. Federal Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry said the fourth and final round of Local Economic Recovery projects was a joint investment of $36.8 million to support recovery in Queensland communities hit hard by the 2019-20 bushfires.
