Rick Weaver was taken into custody at the 8 Inn Hotel in Americus on Friday by members of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Montezuma/Oglethorpe Police Departments and the GBI Drug Task Force.
Officers are looking for 22-year-old Ricky Cameron Weaver of Ideal. Officers say they were able to identify a vehicle belonging to him, a white Chrysler 300 with Georgia tag number SCV4970, "in the area of the shooting" through the use of the Flock Camera System.
