A vehicle pursuit in Wayne County, Kentucky resulted in two individuals being arrested on multiple charges. At approximately 12:40 a.m. December 13, 2020 Deputy James Barnett and Jerry Coffey attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on North 2
nd Street in the city limits of Monticello. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop after Deputy Barnett activated his emergency equipment. The pursuit continued through city streets then out Kentucky Highway East 92. At one point the operator struck the side of another deputy’s vehicle with a K-9 unit inside after temporary losing control with.
