The body was escorted from oakland, 50 miles across interstate 580 to tracy. People lined the streets and some were moved by the officers sacrifice. He was working Christmas Eve with his partner. They were looking out for reckless and impaired drivers. Before midnight. The officers suv was struck from behind by a red cadillac at a high rate of speed.
