A view from Kenley Common of the valley and the chalk cliffs. During lockdown, we have all spent more time at home. Yet being confined to our house without going to school, offices, restaurants or shops has left many feeling sullen and trapped. The lockdown has not only been damaging for our physical health (with fewer opportunities to move around) but has also been damaging for many people’s mental health. Therefore, it is more important now than ever to get out and exercise. Not only is it great for one’s physical and mental health, but also at breaking the monotony of staying at home indoors all day. Whether it is just a quick walk or run, getting some exercise has proven to be vital, particularly when we are all at home.
