The bank explained that the failure was caused by renewing the program for card loans a different cause from the large-scale system failure on Feb. 28. The bank said an error was detected during renewal of the program before dawn of March 7, causing trouble after around 8 a.m. The system was restored by around 1:30 p.m. Though the bank received six inquiries from customers, there were no cases in which passbooks or cash cards were sucked into ATMs and never returned, according to the bank.

There were 91 more recorded consultations about the crime, in which perpetrators disseminate indecent images of former partners or other people, than in the previous year. It was also the highest recorded yearly total since police began keeping statistics in 2014; over the past five years, revenge porn consultations have increased by about 1.5 times.
