Kennedy Moore knocked down the go-ahead jump shot with 45 seconds left and the Flathead Bravettes picked up their first win in Western AA play over crosstown rival Glacier 54-48 Thursday.
Last season was a banner one for the Glacier boys basketball team, which went 17-8 and picked up the second State AA trophy in program history with a third-place finish.
Two of the cool things about Class AA volleyball is the pair of crossover tournaments held during the season, in which the Western AA squads take measure of their counterparts from the Eastern AA.
Though the Bravettes looked like the better team for a lot of the night, Glacier surged back to win the Crosstown volleyball battle 18-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17 in Western AA play on Tuesday at the Flathead High gym.
