The talented five-year-old daughter of Sportswriter turned the tables on Tempus Seelster (Joe Chindano Jr.) this time around with Roll With Angel (Ken Holliday) third, 3-1/4 lengths away. As the outset, Prairie Westerngal (Wally Hennessey) zipped off the wings from post six into an open lead early as Tempus Seelster also left with alacrity and forged her way to the front at the hot opener of :26.3. Crisp Mane, who was third through a half in a rated :56.3, went first-up on the backside to engage during a :27.2 third panel, reaching the saddle pad of the leader past the third station in 1:24. ....

Dee Leftwich Photo Pompano Beach, FL.December 23.Prairie Westerngal, a bridesmaid in her most recent pair of races at Pompano Park, reached the harness racing altar on Tuesday (December 22) by scoring a sharp win in the $11,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace for Wally Hennessey in 1:53. The four year-old daughter of Western Ideal, sprinted off the wings into a quick early lead before yielding to Crisp Mane (Ricky Macomber, Jr.) and remained in the garden spot most of the way before finding a seam along the pylons in the lane to score by a length over Crisp Mane after the latter sliced through panels of :27, :56 and 1:23.4 along the way. ....
