BENGALURU: A statewide Covid-19 vaccination dry run will be conducted on Friday. The mock drill without actual inoculation will take place at 263 vaccination session sites across 30 districts.
A dry run was held on January 2, but only in five districts. These runs are to ensure the drive proper goes off without a hitch. The mock drill includes planning and preparation- related prerequisites to introduce the vaccine and use of Co-WIN portal where beneficiary and session site details will be uploaded. Documents will be verified at session sites.
The Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (CoWIN) software was developed by IIT Delhi. It will be used to monitor vaccine delivery to beneficiaries. The software can also track the temperature at which the vaccine is stored. Every person who is vaccinated will be tracked for adverse effects, authorities said. ....
