The Mountain Home High School boys’ basketball team watched its season come to an end Friday in the Class 5A State Tournament at Hot Springs. The Bombers fell to Jonesboro 55-37. The game was back-and-forth throughout the first half with eight lead changes and three ties. The Hurricane went into the locker room up five at the break. Jonesboro rotated players in and out of the game all night using fresh bodies to pressure Mountain Home and force 15 turnovers. The Hurricane used that to their advantage to pull away for the 18-point victory. Mat Jones led the Bombers with 14 points, and Wyatt Gilbert added 12. For Jonesboro, Kavon Pointer scored 14, Isaac Harrell had 12, Amarion Wilson ended up with 11, and Kelyn McBride chipped in 10 points. ....
