A top official coordinating the response to power shortages throughout the Midwest told reporters Tuesday evening that rolling blackouts may not be over.
We re not out of the woods, said Lanny Nickell, chief operating officer for the Southwest Power Pool, said. We are thinking that we could be in and out of this kind of situation through tomorrow evening.
Hopefully by Thursday we can get out of this and we feel a lot better about Friday, he added. ....
