Highway Patrol Sandra A. Reynolds, 53, East Palestine, was cited with assured clear distance after she rear-ended a vehicle driven by Cheryl A. Strum McCormick, 65, Lisbon, on state Route 164 in Center Township at 6:28 p.m. Saturday. McCormick was cited with OVI. Jack R. Morrell, 54, East Liverpool, was cited with failure to control after he went off the road while traveling on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township and struck a row of trees, metal pole, a culvert and two mailboxes before rotating and striking another tree at 8:40 a.m. Friday. Morrell sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Dylan Rothwell, 23, Columbiana, was arrested and cited with failure to control, OVI and improperly handling a firearm while intoxicated at 1:50 a.m. Saturday. Rothwell was traveling on Kelly Park Road in Fairfield Township when he went off the road and struck a mailbox. Apr 13, 2021 LISBON In county Municipal Court, An April 19 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Michael S. Smith, 39, McCracken Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. On Friday, Smith allegedly threatened his live-in girlfriend, Grace Roessler, telling her he was going to beat her to death, slit her throat and burn the house down. Then when deputies arrived, Smith allegedly was holding a butane torch and kicked deputies attempting to take him into custody. Amberlina N. Gentsy, 26, Monaca, Pa., was bound over to the grand jury on charges of felonious assault, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, OVI first offense, left of center and marked lanes. Gentsy is accused of going left of center, nearly striking other drivers head-on and nearly going off the road, while fleeing from officers on April 3. She then allegedly struck the back of a deputy’s cruiser when it slowed in front of her at the intersection of state Route 1

Apr 6, 2021 A woman was reported overdosing at a Rochester Road, West Township, address at 11:40 p.m. Sunday. Minerva EMS transported her to Aultman Hospital in Canton. A domestic dispute was reported at a Waterford Road, Unity Township, address at 12:28 a.m. Saturday. One person involved refused to prosecute the other. A U.S. Route 30, West Township, man reported at 9:52 p.m. Saturday someone removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle he owns sometime in the past week. Someone at the library in Lisbon wanted to report at 8:22 p.m. Friday a domestic dispute that happened earlier at a home on Shady Lane Road, Center Township. However, when deputies arrived the person had left. At Smith Oil, the clerk told deputies the person left the business about 10 minutes before they arrived.

Apr 6, 2021 LISBON An April 12 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set in county Municipal Court for Amberlina N. Gentsy, 26, Monaca, Pa., charged with felonious assault and failure to comply with a police officer, both felony charges, along with misdemeanor citations of OVI first offense, left of center and marked lanes. Gentsy allegedly continued on state Route 172 near Depot Road, going left of center nearly striking other drivers head on several times and nearly going off the roadway while fleeing from deputies on Saturday. She then reportedly struck the rear of a deputy’s cruiser that slowed in front of her at the intersection of state Route 154 and 45.
