The center for Public Integrity today obtained white house documents that show that 18 states are currently in what is known as the red zone, and that means those states have more than 100 new cases per 100,000 people in the previous week. According to that document, which was prepared for the White House Coronavirus task force but not released to the public, quote, more than a dozen states should revert to more stringent protective measures limiting social gatherings to ten people or fewer, closing bars, and asking gyms and asking residents to wear masks at all times.
