Elizabeth Yassenoff s first two pregnancies ended in grief. Her first in 2015 ended in a miscarriage after just eight weeks. For her second, she gave birth to son Jacob on July 18, 2016, but he died a day later. Finding out that the baby wasn’t going to survive really just left like a loss and like my body had failed me, Yassenoff said. “The experience of losing Jacob taught me what true grief is.
