With the failure to pass the bill in congress, some states are looking to expand medicaid. Some additional states. Many states are talking to cms about what might be possible in way of their talking about waivers, what can be done. So today well talk about our goal for this panel is to both talk about where we are going into this next year. What the aca did, where we are with medicaid. Whats under discussion and were going to talk about the considerations and possible implications moving forward. i just want to acknowledge first, this will be our last hearing of the 117th congress. and i want to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated staff, both the majority and republican staff on this committee, for the work they have done. this committee, particularly for covid-19, but as a legacy of covid-19, was handled with a lot of responsibility. its portfolio increased dramatically and is it has one of the smallest staffs of any of the standing committees in the other state senate. and i just really want to thank them for their dedication and work, and their cooperation that we have received from the majority and minority staff working together. we took many major bills to the finish line, and the d tr program was not an easy assignment. we had half a dozen bills that have made their way through our committee, and made their way to the president for signature. this has been a very productive congress for the small business entrepreneurship committee. we want to th ....
