The office on Charlton Road is not a customer branch. No staff will be made redundant, but they will be transferred to the Keens House office in Andover. The decision was taken because the space at the Charlton Place office had been underutilised for some time. A spokesperson for Lloyd Banking Group told the Gazette: “We regularly review our property portfolio to make sure it meets the demands of the business, colleagues and customers. As part of our existing strategy from before the pandemic, where opportunities arise, we are consolidating our offices so that we have fewer, better buildings. “As part of this, we have decided to leave our office in Charlton Place, Andover. With most colleagues currently working from home as per Government guidance, there will be no impact to their current ways of working and there are no role reductions as a result of this announcement. In due course, colleagues will be based at our Keens House office, less than a mile away.”
