Laurel County Sheriff John Root says K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler was called out to a business off Keavy Road where a customer had left the car running while going into the business and saw a man get into the car attempting to back out. The car owner ran outside and grabbed the door handle breaking it off as the man drove the 2018 Chevrolet Spark out of the parking lot. The investigation led to 22-year-old Edgar Sizemore of London. The owner was able to identify Sizemore as the person who took her car. Deputy Mehler obtained a warrant for Sizemore and arrested him off Hammock Road. Sizemore was charged with theft by unlawful taking- auto. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. ....
