Pranaitis remembered with Evangelical scholarship Dylan Suttles, [email protected] FacebookTwitterEmail Evangelical School in Godfrey is planning a scholarship in memory of Ruth Pranaitis, a long-time teacher at the school who died last month. GODFREY In the last weekend of February, Evangelical School in Godfrey lost someone near and dear to the students’and faculty’s hearts. On Feb. 20, Ruth Pranaitis, a teacher for Evangelical School, died at Alton Memorial Hospital. For more than 25 years Pranaitis taught pre-school, kindergarten and second grade at the school. She retired in 2019. In Pranaitis’ honor, Evangelical School plans to offer a scholarship to incoming kindergarten students to cover a portion of the yearly tuition. ....
