COLOMBO (News1st): “Two people were killed while three others were injured when a police jeep collided with a three-wheeler in Katumuluwa Katupotha this morning”, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The accident occurred at the 10th-mile post along the Wariyapola-Kalugamuwa road at 8 am.
“The 48-year-old three-wheel driver and his 69-year-old mother were killed in the accident”, DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The wife and two children of the three-wheeler driver who were injured were admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital.
A special team led by the Senior Superintendent of the Police Office of Kuliyapitiya is conducting investigations on this incident. ....
