Suspected terrorists have struck in the Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting several residents and killing one of them, identified as Tukur Makeri, an agricultural products seller. The attackers invaded Bakiyawa Community in the council in a renewed attack, Vanguard reports. It was also learnt that the terrorists also injured four other locals, broke into houses and looted many shops during the uninterrupted operation that lasted for about three hours on Wednesday.
A 300-level university student in Katsina State, Najeeb Shehu Umar, 24, has allegedly beaten his stepmother to death. Umar, who lived in their home in Ambassadors Quarters, Katsina State, is student at the Federal University Dutsinma, Daily Post reports. When his father attempted to interfere, Najeeb also shattered the man’s leg and arm with the pestle, causing confusion in the neighbourhood.
