Now the husband (35) and wife (25) are both behind bars!
The wife couldn’t produce a slip for the groceries which consisted of rice, tinned food, toiletries and other items worth about R5 000.
Her husband tried to bribe the cops with R500 to release his wife, but he was also arrested.
The couple from Khumalo section in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, are both unemployed and have young kids.
