Merriman named LTEC Student of the Month Lincoln Courier Jared Merriman, son of Tim and Kathy Merriman was named December Student of the Month for the Criminal Justice Program at the Lincolnland Technical Education Center. Merriman is a senior at Lincoln Community High School. Larry Smith, instructor, said Merriman is a wonderful student and is currently has the highest grade that can be earned. “Jared has joined the Army National Guard, and is due to begin basic training after graduation in June, 2021. He will do exceptionally well in the National Guard,” said Smith. “Jared is a very fine young man; honest, friendly and willing to work hard. He will make an outstanding police officer and has the qualities that are needed by all criminal justice professionals especially being a person of integrity.
