This morning we are learning more about a failed mission to rescue american journalist james foley and other hostages held in syria. Early this summer two dozen u. S. Special Operations Forces were dropped in Northern Syria by heavily armed blackhawk helicopters. Four hostages including foley were thought to be in an oil refinery controlled by isis, but the prisoners were not there. Michelle sigona is in new york. Good morning, annemarie. Michael browns family is beyond outraged at the devious way the police chief has chosen to disseminate piecemeal information in a manner intended to assassinate the character of their son. Whats your response to that. My response to that is first my heart goes out to the family. I cant imagine what theyre going through.
