ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) State tests for English, math and science are expected to be given to third through eighth graders next week, but they ll look a little different. Following the U.S. Department of Education’s decision not to waive the tests this year, in-person students will have to take it while remote students do not.
The exams this year will be shortened. Local teachers say they think the federal government’s decision not to waive it, especially this year was a big mistake.
