The municipal form of government for Sandwich consists of a Town Meeting open to all voters and held annually
on the first Monday of May; a Board of Selectmen, elected by and accountable to the people; and a Town Administrator, appointed by and accountable to the Board of Selectmen for proper administration of the affairs of the Town. Sandwich town government is comprised of 22 departments, with about 150 full-time employees
and various Boards and Committees that provide a wide range of services, from public safety to recreation,
