In the last hour, four further cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the uk, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 13. The latest cases are among the 32 british and irish tourists flown back from japan yesterday after being on board the virus struck cruise ship the diamond princess. Those four people will now be transferred to specialist nhs infection centres. Health service strike action continues today in england and wales. it s the second day of a nurses strike in england as part of a row over pay. and in wales, ambulance workers are taking part in industrial action, but emergency calls will be covered. for those in england, the advice is that if you are seriously injured or ill, then call 999 as usual. if it s not urgent then call 111. 0ur heath reporter katharine dacosta is in brighton speaking to nurses about how they re feeling on day two of the strikes. yes, the second 12 hour strike is under way here at the royal sussex hospital in brighton, the picket line is growing in size and volume. apparently there were several hundred nurses out on this picket line yesterday, expected to be matched again today. there are more than 50 nhs trusts across england are impacted by this two day walk out. it is expected to cause more disruption in the strikes last month, that s because more staff are involved and the days are back to back. ....

And demand is at its highest ever. 0ur heath reporter katharine dacosta is in brighton speaking to nurses about how they re feeling on day two of the strikes. there is a large and very loud turnout once again at the royal sussex hospital in brighten. around 300 also nurses have turned out on a bitterly cold picket line and their action is escalating with plans for two more walk outs in england and wales next month. and we could see the biggest strike yet on the 6th of february if coordinated strikes with ambulance workers from the gmb union go ahead. the nurses i have spoken to have said they are doing this for their patients to highlight the crisis in the nhs and they say too many of their colleagues are leaving to find higher paid jobs. i ve been speaking to a senior nurse, tina, in a&e. it is extremely busy, unprecedented and the worst it ....
