Srinagar, June 06: Chief of Army Staff, General MM Naravane, Thursday said that the situation has improved along the Line of Control (LoC) following the ceasefire agreement with Pakistan.
Addressing a group of reporters in Srinagar, the Army Chief, who was on a two day visit to the Valley said they are willing to observe the ceasefire as long as Pakistan does so.
Earlier in February, India and Pakistan agreed to strictly observe the 2003 CF agreement along LoC and other sectors. The move has brought a peaceful atmosphere along the border areas in Jammu and Kashmir.
India added 1,32,788 new coronavirus infections taking the country s tally of COVID-19 cases to 2,83,07,832, while the daily positivity rate has further dropped to 6.57 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.
