Dimapur, Aug. 26 (EMN): The deputy chief minister and leader of BJP legislature party, Y Patton, has stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a secular party that works for the uplift of women, Scheduled Casts and Tribes and Dalits and maintained that any political party or individual branding BJP as anti-Christian was to spread rumours. Patton stated this during a meeting of the BJP workers and supporters under 13 BJP Pughoboto mandal held at Pughoboto town hall on August 26. Our Reporter Dimapur, July 15(EMN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton on Friday said that the “main obstacle” in the way of solution to the Naga political issue is the NSCN (IM)’s insistence on a separate flag and constitution for the Nagas. “The NSCM (IM) will not accept solution unless flag and constitution are given, and therefore unless NSCN (IM) comes forward for the solution, we are helpless,” Patton told journalists on the sideline of the 16th Freshers’ cum Annual Day programme of Unity College, Dimapur.
