Vibha Sharma New Delhi/Sonepat, December 14 Even as the leaders of 32 farmers’ organisations on Monday sat on a daylong fast at the Singhu border and farmers in Punjab and Haryana held dharnas outside the offices of deputy commissioners, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar met deputations from Telangana, Maharashtra, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. He later said the All-India Kisan Coordination Committee had expressed support for the recent farm laws. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Ministers Hardeep Puri and Som Parkash too held meetings on the issue. Citing BJP’s recent wins, party spokesperson Sambit Patra said this would not have been possible without the “help of farmers and the poor”. ....
