If someone wrote a book about your life, what would be the title? JStew: Hmmmm...what would be the title of my story? Would I go serious, or would I make a joke out of it? That seems to be the general direction of my life at any given moment anyhow, so it s always going to be that choice. But maybe it would go something like, JStew.. He Tried Real Hard To Be Normal. It just Didn t Work. Honestly, I think that fits both bills. It s funny, yet also tragically true on so many levels. But that s the way life always is, I guess. ....
Throwback Thursday: What Movie Traumatized You As A Kid? For today s TBT, we wanted to know, what movie or movies, traumatized you as a kid. Were they just plain strange? Scary? Does a fluffy animal die in it? JStew: This topic spoke to me almost immediately. Whenever a conversation like this comes up, there s two movies that always come to mind. When I was 5, my older cousins were up visiting from Connecticut. They, and my sister, wanted to go see Amityville Horror at the old Brewer Cinemas. It was the summer of 79 and my mom decided we were all going as a family. So here I am, 5 years old, watching houses trying to kill priests, blood running down the walls, etc.. No wonder I m so messed up, haha. Then of course, not even 4 months later.. I saw the OG Salem s lot movie on TV. I saw the whole scene with the younger Glick brother floating in the air and scratching on the window. Goooood times. Anyone know a decent therapist?! ....

Since Prom is kind of a hot button this year, with some schools cancelling, and others having informal ones, we wondered what your prom might ve been like. JStew: I went to a few proms in high school. I think the only one I missed was my junior year. The girlfriend I had at the time didn t seem to interested, so we didn t go. The photo from the article was from my senior year. Melanie, the girl in the photo with me, is still a good friend. She s a teacher these days. Fun fact, a few short years later, she is the person who actually introduced me to my wife. So I ll always have her to thank for that! But as far as our prom went, it was 92, in the middle of the grunge explosion. as you can see, we were kinda the class freaks. We wouldn t have had it any other way. Like most kids, we took off to Bar Harbor with friends afterwards, and caught the sunrise. Good times, actually. ....
