As of Monday, Guelph General Hospital has reinstated masking in clinical areas, which includes waiting rooms, patient rooms and nursing stations. Masks won't be required in hallways, meeting rooms, shared offices or the Bistro.
New faces will be spotted in public spaces at hospitals in Waterloo region and area as mask mandates are being phased out ending restrictions that have been in place since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
