WEST BURLINGTON The Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission board of directors recognized Dick Keith of Burlington and West Point Mayor Paul Walker with awards for outstanding contributions to their communities at its Jan. 28 meeting in West Burlington.
Keith received the LeRoy Meyer Award for his hard work in restoring and redeveloping area historic buildings.
SEIRPC says on its website, As a volunteer and board member with the Heritage Trust, Mr. Keith was instrumental in the adaptive reuse of the decrepit building at 213 Valley in Burlington, transforming it into Preservation Station, the organization’s architectural salvage resale shop.
