Impact recap, review: Controversial finish in Knockouts tag tourney

Impact Wrestling (Dec. 15, 2020) featured Kenny Omega picking a fight, Ethan Page as The Karate Man, Eric Young explaining his demented plans to save the world, and the Knockouts tag title tournament continuing with semifinals action.
The most important moment from last night was Kenny Omega reuniting the Bullet Club for a trios bout on the
Hard to Kill PPV on January 16. AEW also continued their presence on Impact with another commercial from Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. Those have already been covered, so let’s proceed to other events on the evening.
The most important match from last night was Taya & Rosemary meeting Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz in the semifinals of the Knockouts tag title tournament. Rosemary and Taya powerhoused through their smaller opponents early. Hogan and Steelz turned the tide with quick tags and speed to cut the ring off on Rosemary. They worked over the demon assassin until Rosemary exploded for a spear. ....

Ethan Page Reported to Have Had Talks With AEW, MLW & WWE

As Ethan Page’s Impact Wrestling contract grows closer to its completion, a new report claims that he’s had talks with AEW, MLW & WWE this year. As previously reported, Page’s contract with Impact expires on December 31st and it is believed that he will be exiting the company. Now, Wresting Inc reports that Page had talks with the three aforementioned companies over the summer.
Impact Wresting was said to be “accommodating” in allowing Page to discuss his future with other promotions. Page has yet to comment publicly about his future outside of teasing a potential departure from Impact. He’s had storyline tension with his North partner Josh Alexander on Impact, which resulted on Alexander losing a match to Brian Myers by DQ on tonight’s episode after Page’s Karate Man character emerged during the match and attacked Myers. ....

Tuesday s Impact Wrestling has the promise to be another newsworthy edition of the show as AEW Champion Kenny Omega will be on the show, flanked by Don Callis.
It s unknown what Omega is planning on doing or saying, but he did make a surprise appearance on Saturday s Final Resolution to reacquaint with old friend Karl Anderson, giving him a pep talk before his match (and win) over Ethan Page.
This will be the first show the aforementioned Final Resolution where World Champion Rich Swann and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo retained their titles while Rohit Raju lost his X Division title to Manik in an open challenge. ....

1. Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb Konley) vs. Alisha Edwards (w/Eddie Edwards). Dashwood tackled Alisha to start the match followed by some ground and pound. Alisha came right back with a Thesz Press and punches. Alisha tripped up Tenille and hit Tenille with a running senton. Tenille turned the tide a bit after hitting Alisha with a draping neckbreaker. Tenille hit Alisha with a double underhook suplex for a two count. Tenille dominated Alisha for a bit with Eddie trying to cheer on his wife from ringside ....
