There are also reports that crowds of antimorsi civilians have gathered outside the mosque, as well as the uniformed Security Forces. The standoff follows three days of violence between the Muslim Brotherhood and the military. On friday, the brotherhood took to the streets to protest a violent military crackdown, defying Security Forces authorized to use lethal force against protesters. 173 people were killed on fridays day of rage protests, according to the Egyptian Government. And the brotherhood has vowed to keep rallying in the days ahead. The crackdown began wednesday, when government Security Forces violently attempted to clear out two encampments where morsi supporters were staging sitin protests and demanding that morsi be reinstated.
