Le président américain Joe Biden a placé un nouveau pion dans sa lutte contre les pratiques anticoncurrentielles en annonçant mardi sa volonté de nommer un avocat réputé pour ses actions contre les géants de la technologie, Jonathan Kanter, au ministère de la Justice.
S’il est confirmé par le Sénat, cet avocat y dirigera la division chargée des poursuites antitrust.
« Tout au long de sa carrière, M. Kanter a été un défenseur et un expert de premier plan dans les efforts visant à promouvoir des politiques solides et significatives contre les monopoles et en faveur de la concurrence », a souligné la Maison-Blanche dans un communiqué.
