IMPHAL: Commandos of Imphal West district Police seized 1,40,000 World is Yours (WY) tablets worth Rs 14 crore from three persons in the Kanglatongbi area of the district, police said on Tuesday.
As part of the state government’s “War on Drugs” campaign, police carried out frisking and checking along the Imphal-Dimapur highway in the Kanglatongbi Shantipur area on Sunday evening. Police confiscated the drugs from inside the bonnet of two trucks heading towards Dimapur.
The arrested trio Md Akhan (24), Md Yunus (19) and Md Mustakin (28) revealed that they were attempting to ship drugs to Guwahati.
