Leading indicators: Patients in ICU: 280 ↑ (19 more than the previous day) Intubated patients: 111 ↑ (10 more than the previous day) Deaths: 11 The Klang Valley reported the most number of new cases (54.3 percent) followed by Johor (14.6 percent) and Sabah (8.6 percent). In Selangor, 187 new cases were detected among individuals without symptoms and are not linked to existing clusters. This is relatively higher, considering that most states are reporting new cases in the double digits only. ....
PUTRAJAYA: A Covid-19 outbreak involving a religious centre has been detected in Kulim, Kedah. The outbreak has 34 confirmed cases so far, and is one of the seven new Covid-19 clusters, identified by the Health Ministry on Tuesday (Jan 26). Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the cluster, dubbed “Keladi Saga”, was linked to infections in Kampung Keladi and Taman Saga in Kulim. “Since Jan 21,49 people linked to the cluster have been screened with 34 of them tested positive, ” he said in a statement. The index case involved a 64-year-old man who developed symptoms such as cough, fever, flu and muscle pain since Jan 14. ....
