The Magistrate’s Court on Thursday sentenced an Indian citizen to one-year imprisonment for offering bribes to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers. Mohammad Faisal Khan, 36, was first produced in court on April 19, to face two charges under Section 6 (b), Chapter 131 of the Prevention of Corruption.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Raihan Nabilah binti Haji Ahmad Ghazali informed the court that at 9.36am on April 17, the defendant was arrested on suspicion of consuming controlled drugs at a tailor shop in Kampong Birau, Tutong District, where he worked as a cobbler.
