Some bandits were said to have killed three in separate attacks in Giwa and Zango-Kataf Local Government Areas of Kaduna, while three persons were left injured.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwa, in an official statement, said bandits raided some locals joints at Wawan Rafi village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area where they killed one John Isah while injuring three other persons.
The commissioner gave the names of those injured by the rampaging bandits as Fidelix Jacob, Abraham Isah and Philemon Adamu.
Aruwa also said security operatives recovered two AK-47 rifles with over 40 rounds of ammunition from two persons in the area.

Motorists and road users in the Osun State capital are complaining about the narrow nature of some intercity roads within Osogbo.
DAILY POST reports that the affected roads include the Oke-Fia – Freedom Park (Old Garage) road, Jaleyemi and Gbeemu Junction Road and Station Road.
Their complaints are coming on the heels of a 3 hours demo closure carried out recently by the State Government.
The motorists while baring their minds to DAILY POST complained that the decision of the state government to construct a flyover at Olaiya Junction was not in the best interest of road users in Osogbo due to the fact that traffic at the popular junction is always smooth.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan on Monday, confirmed that Air platforms conducted armed reconnaissance over some communities in the state in efforts to rid it of bandits.
Areas viewed include Sabon Birnin, Rikau, Kaya, Kerawa, Galadimawa, Fatika, Kidandan, Saulawa, Dogon Dawa, Ngade Allah, Kuduru, Yadi, Damari, Takama, Sabuwa, Ungwar Yako and its connecting track to Kuduru, as well as the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road all of Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Igabi and Giwa local government areas.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Gusau, Professor Magaji Garba for alleged abuse of office, corrupt practices and contract scam.
According to sources at the EFCC, Professor Garba was invited for questioning last Thursday, after which he was detained.
The source further disclosed that the embattled VC had collected the sum of N260 million from one Alhaji Shehu Sambo, the owner of Ministaco Nigeria Limited, sometime in 2018, with an understanding that the university was going to award him a contract worth N3 billion for the construction of the school’s perimeter fence.
