Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), led a detailed inspection visit of Kalba Waterfront, the largest retail and first inclusive waterfront destination in Kalba developed by Eagle Hills Sharjah Development, a joint venture between Shurooq and Eagle Hills. SHARJAH, 29th March, 2022 (WAM) H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved Tuesday, during his visit to the city of Kalba, the detailed plans for the Kalba Heritage Museum.
The two-storey building, which will sit on a total area of 32,000 square metres, will house exhibition halls designated for various activities representing all heritage environments, as well as cultural, social and artistic activities.

3-day heritage fest brings joy to residents of Kalba

The three-day cultural and heritage festival under the theme ‘Cultural Heritage Brings Us Together’ in the surroundings of a known heritage site in Kalba has brought thousands of residents and guests to enjoy and appreciate their rich history.
“There was no schedule for this particular festival but as soon we completed the restoration of the area, including 10 houses and three mosques along with the fort, we decided to have an event to celebrate the restoration of this historical area,” said Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and Chairman of the Higher Committee of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD).
