Water supply has been disrupted in several parts of Delhi due to pollutants in Yamuna water.
The Supreme Court has now asked the states and other parties to appear in court on January 19, the next date of hearing.
The national capital has earned the infamy of being one of the planet’s worst-polluted regions. The air here is mixed with deadly toxins and the AQI constantly registers ‘Unhealthy’ to ‘Hazardous’ levels especially in the winter season. This in itself has been termed as a medical emergency by the authorities and every breath we take in Delhi-NCR is taking us a step closer to irreversible lung damage.
