‘열 손가락이 없는 불굴의 산악인’ 김홍빈(57·콜핑 홍보이사)씨가 장애인으로는 세계 최초로 히말라야 8천m급 14좌 등정에 성공한 다음 실종된 뒤 그의 무사귀환을 기원하는 시민들의 바람이 모이고 있다.
20일 광주광역시는 체육진흥과를 중심으로 사고수습 대책위원회를 꾸리고 지원에 나서기로 했다.
광주시는 이날 오전 이용섭 시장 지시에 따라 체육진흥과 사무실에 상황실을 마련하고 광주장애인체육회, 광주산악연맹 등과 대책위를 구성할 계획이다. 또 대한산악연맹과 외교부 등에도 공동 대응을 요청할 방침이다. 광주시와 광주산악연맹은 현지에 있는 등반대원들과 수시로 연락하며 수색 등 김씨 관련 상황을 파악하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 김� ....

SEOUL: Two self-made South Korean billionaires have pledged in as many weeks to give away half their fortunes – a rarity in a country where business is dominated by family-controlled conglomerates and charity often begins and ends at home.
Kim Beom-su, the founder of South Korea’s biggest messaging app KakaoTalk, announced this month he will donate more than half his estimated $9.6 billion assets to try to “solve social issues”.
Shortly afterwards, Kim Bong-jin of food-delivery app Woowa Brothers and his wife, Bomi Sul, became the first South Koreans to sign the Giving Pledge.  The philanthropic initiative was set up by Bill and Melinda Gates, alongside Warren Buffett, for billionaires to give away at least half their wealth. ....
