The Supreme Court has issued notice on a plea filed by the ad-hoc committee running the day-to-day affairs of the Wrestling Federation of India challenging a stay on the conduct of WFI elections.
The Court asked the Andhra Pradesh Amateur Wrestling Association to move the Punjab & Haryana High Court, which had granted the stay on the WFI polls earlier this month.
The Court was hearing a plea alleging the failure to affiliate the Assam Wrestling Association with the WFI, which meant that the former could not participate in the elections.
