Four of the 20 who officially signed with the Lobos are from New Mexico: wide receiver Luke Wysong (Cleveland High School, Rio Rancho), linebacker Ja’Shon Lowery (La Cueva High), Jaden Phillips (Clovis High) and offensive lineman Larry Luna (Goddard High, Roswell). Phillips is listed as an athlete who could play offense or defense. When he was hired a year ago, Gonzales said that he would make New Mexico a priority for recruiting, and he continues to say it.
