A 7-year-old boy from Hyderabad has become one of the youngest in the world to scale Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 19,341 feet.
Virat Chandra achieved the rare feat on March 6 and said he was scared but wanted to reach his goal. The 7-year-old said he was inspired to make the climb after listening to inspiring stories from his cousins.

A nine-year-old girl from Andhra Pradesh has become the youngest girl in Asia to have conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Kadapala Rithvika Sri from Anantapur became M Agraharam village in Tadimarri mandal, achieved the feat on Friday.
Rithvika conquered Mount Kilimanjaro along with her father Kadapala Sankar who is also her guide. Sankar, a cricket coach for special Olympics, had scaled the mountain in Tanzania on January 24 last year. ....
