The latest scam is related to the entrance test conducted for the candidates who applied for fellowship courses at the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics. Health and Family Welfare (Medical Education) Additional Chief Secretary Jawaid Akhtar issued an order suspending Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics Director Dr Niranjan Gowda for irregularities in conducting entrance examinations for fellowship courses.

He is known for national award winning documentary ‘Ithihasathile Khasak’
National and State award winning maker of documentary and short films Jyothi Prakash passed away at his residence here on Sunday. He was 60.
Mr. Prakash was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre in Thiruvananthapuram until recently. He is survived by wife Geetha and children Adityan and Chand Prakash.
